Background
Mike Andrade (born March 10, 1980) is a Democrat representing House District 12 (Munster, Highland, Griffith, and portions of Schererville/St. John Township), having first been elected in November 2020 and re-elected in 2022 and 2024 (55% to 45% in 2024). He owns and operates a real estate investment firm and previously moved to Hammond, Indiana, from Chicago's Pilsen Historic District. In the 124th General Assembly, he serves as Ranking Democrat on the House Financial Institutions Committee and co-chairs the Indiana Taiwan Friendship Caucus.[^6][^7][^8][^9][^10]
