Background
Carey Hamilton has represented House District 87 (north Indianapolis, including Broad Ripple and Castleton) since her first election in 2016 and serves as Democratic Caucus Chair in the Indiana House (Source 2)(Source 9). She has spent nearly three decades working on environmental issues in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors, most recently in the climate tech sector, and previously served as Executive Director of the Indiana Recycling Coalition for nine years (Source 9). Hamilton is a graduate of Pike High School and holds a BA from Indiana University–Bloomington; she is married with two children (Source 11).
