Background
Jeff Raatz has represented Senate District 27 (Henry, Rush, Fayette, Union, and portions of Wayne and other counties) since his election in 2014 (Source 1). He serves as chair of the Senate Committee on Education and Career Development and is the owner of Raatz LLC, a business-coaching organization (Source 1)(Source 2). Raatz issued a public statement in December 2025 supporting redistricting, calling it necessary to offset blue-state gerrymandering, and voted YES on HB 1032 (Source 10). Fiscal responsibility
