Background
Randall D. Maxwell was sworn into the Indiana Senate on September 28, 2023, winning the District 43 Republican Party caucus with 56 of 80 votes to fill the seat vacated by Sen. Chip Perfect (Source 2)(Source 3). He is the CEO of Maxwell Construction, a family-owned southeast Indiana general contractor and development company; he holds Indiana University degrees in finance-real estate and entrepreneurship (Source 2). He was appointed to the Indiana Unemployment Insurance Board by Gov. Mitch Daniels in 2007 and has been active in Dearborn County business and civic organizations (Source 2). In October 2025, Maxwell publicly announced his support for redistricting, citing alignment with President Trump's initiatives (Source 7). He voted in favor of HB 1032 when it came to the Senate floor (Source 6).
